One of the nicest summers in Buffalo’s history is winding down meaning the temperatures begin to drop, football kicks off, and the Octoberfest starts flowing. This month at the Ebenezer Ale House, we’re tapping Oaktoberfest by Firestone Walker Brewing Company as our craft beer of the month. Named in honor of Paso Robles (Pass of the Oaks), the hometown of the Firestone Walker team, Oaktoberfest is a proper German Märzen bier, brewed with traditional malts that offer the perfect blend of hops and subtle honey aromas. End summer right with a delicious pint of Oaktoberfest for only $3.50 throughout the entire month of September.
Celebrate Halfway to KBS Day at the Ebenezer Ale House on Friday September 30th. KBS Day is the annual celebration by Founder’s Brewing Company that honors the release of their Kentucky Breakfast Stout. Peanut butter and jelly, peaches and cream, Bonnie and Clyde – there’s certain things in this world that just pair together perfectly. Nothing quite compares to the prestigious pairing of cigars and bourbon so on Tuesday September 20th, we’re honoring this duo with a cigar and bourbon night. We’re teaming up with our friends at Nice Ash Cigars and Southern Wine and Spirits to bring a night on the patio filled with tastings and delight. Spots are available for $100 and includes a steak dinner, 4 cigars – masterfully paired with 4 different bourbons including Maker’s Mark Cask Strength, Russell’s 10 Year, Jefferson Very Small Batch, and Basil Hayden’s, as well as one bottle of Founders KBS, their barrel aged stout. Start the season off right at the Ebenezer Ale House as the Buffalo Bills take on the Baltimore Ravens in the first game in the 2016 season. Our Friends from Ellicottville Brewing Company will be here introducing their brand-new release, Raspberry Beret, part of EBC.’s Four-Pack series which showcases specialty and imperial recipes. Named for Prince’s hit song, this expertly brewed ale is created with special kettle-souring techniques and infused with fresh raspberry flavor. The result is a crisp and snappy mouthfeel, and perfect complement of fruity and tart flavors.
In honor of this, we’ll be kicking it back to the 80’s and playing Prince’s hits throughout the entirety of the event, or until we kick the keg. Stop by and sample this delicious new concoction on Wednesday July 27th between 7 and 9pm.
Empire Brewing Company, headquartered in nearby Syracuse, NY, is showcasing their lineup on Monday July 18th by taking over the Ebenezer Ale House taps. Founded in 1994, Empire Brewing Company embodies its style after the sustainability of farming, and recently opened the Empire Farmstead Brewery in Cazanovia, NY – the largest Farm Brewery on the East Coast. Stop by between 6pm – 8pm and enjoy $5 pints of their delicious brews and take advantage of our Monday Madness Wing Specials while you’re here! Looking to take some of Empire’s beer home with you? It’s been 5 years since the Ebenezer Ale House opened its doors in West Seneca and on Saturday July 16th, we’re celebrating in style. We’ll be joined by Great Lakes Brewing Company, Niagara Distilling Company, and 106.5 WYRK for a day filled with music, samplings, and giveaways.
For your entertainment, Ben Clifford will be playing live music starting at 4pm followed by the sweet tunes of Maui Jim to carry us into the night.
